I pshyce myself out in practically every decision. Decisions about:
what to wear - black or brown
what to eat - sandwich and fries or salad and bread
what to do next - laundry or errands or nap
etc....
the thing is, I cannot decide in the little things and end up starting several things at once. I'll try to wear black and brown together, eat fries and a salad, do laundry, cook something, check email and then be tired doing it.
With that said, it's no wonder that big decisions are even worse. I'm sure that's a shock after revealing my waffling tendencies were just revealed.
Really, though, when you are trying to make a decision and really are wanting to hear from God on it and haven't heard a clear word from Him... what do you do with that? It's a struggle for me. I'm not sure how you move forward in that - other than walking through doors He's opened. The other thing to weigh in are the desires and aptitudes He's given you. What if it sounds like a good fit, but my heart isn't thrilled about it?
A smorgasboard isn't the best thing - it's too much. Jesus is all we need... just one thing. There is hope that He will do what He's promised and guide our steps. He's always done it in the past - why wouldn't He now?
