Last week, J put in Star Wars for Gabe. We fast forwarded lots of parts (Darth Vader’s Jedi stranglings of people, the trash compactor incident, etc.), and he is LOVING it! He is actually obsessed with Darth Vader by announcing his appearance on the screen every time he comes on.
During space ship battles or light saber battles, there is a gleeful smirk on his face. We have now seen episodes IV, V and VI.
Some of my favorite quotes of his during the viewings are:
- “Where are all of the weddews (letters) going?” as the intro story scrolls off the screen into space
- “Dere’s (There’s) Darf Vadew!”
- “Are dey in outew space?”
- “Where’s Yoda?”
- “Dere’s E2D2!” (no matter how many times we tell him it’s R2D2)
And he wants to wear his Star Wars shirt that Aunt Becky gave him some time ago. It’s heavy in the rotation these days. Basically, if it’s not in the dirty laundry he’s wearing it. We have enjoyed watching the movies again and I must say that my crush on Han Solo is resurfacing. =)
