Hiking

Disclaimer: Our digital camera is broken (don't volunteer to check your carry on bag if the airline asks unless it's titanium), so I'm sorry I don't have photos of today's adventure.

Also, this was NOT our trail, but it looked something like this.

This morning, we went for a hike. There is this great park right down the street from us with lots of trails, a big lake, playgrounds, etc. We usually go for the playground and/or the lake and ducks. Today, however, we went for a "nature hike." G has this bag that he carries around when he pretends he's "going to work" - like his briefcase. It's clear plastic and so we changed it's name to our "nature bag" and filled it with all sorts of nature things. We found a lot of sticks, rocks and leaves.

He romped around and ran ahead chasing after bikers that had passed us. It was a lovely morning all in the shade and outside. More confirmation that boys were meant to be outside. However, M loved it too. She was strapped to my side in her Moby wrap and just giggled at her brother trotting along. She really thinks he hung the moon.

It was such a big success, that I think we'll go back tomorrow! It was a great way to enjoy the morning, and be a part of the world outside!
