THREE!

Our son turned THREE yesterday! He is such a big boy and we are so proud to be his parents. He amazes us at how smart, witty, funny and sweet he is. He has been a great big brother to his baby sister and is growing up in a flash before our eyes.

(First day of preschool on Wednesday)

We started off the day with cinnamon rolls (out of a can) and lots of dinosaur balloons and accessories. They were a big hit.

We ran an errand, picked up lunch at his favorite place, "Panewa" (Panera), swung by Publix for a little cake (where he got to "drive" the shopping cart) then headed home. We had a delicious lunch and had cake Part I. (He couldn't wait until dinner time with Daddy, but how was I supposed to say no???) We did candles, singing, the whole bit. Then it was quiet time. Well, not so quiet after opening one gift from Nana: a Hot Wheels Snow Blower. Another big hit!

Daddy came home and we all headed out to Chuck E. Cheese's! He'd never been and all 4 of us had a good time playing skee ball, riding a few rides, watching Chuck E. sing, and eating bad pizza.

Even Maggie got in on the rides. She liked them! (She kept patting Barney's nose)

He opened the rest of his bounty while keeping a half an eye on Chuck E. who was singing hits like Justin Bieber's "Baby, baby, baby." Kind of strange. You can see from the video that the distraction was more than minimal ;)

Our 42 tickets awarded us 4 miniature Tootsie Pops and we headed home for cake Part II and a few cards. He had his fill of icing!

We can't believe it has come and gone already! Happy Third Birthday to you, Gabe!!!
