So, we closed on our house last night - i thought there would be more papers to sign. It was easy and quick and kind of funny. Usually when you purchase something you pay your money and then they give it to you on the premicise. Not so with a house. I mean, we could have just gone back to the apartment or gone on vacation and done nothing different. It was funny.
A friend of mine put homeownership in this light: "So, how do you feel to be in debt for a period longer than you've been alive?"
Nice... nothing like zapping the joy right out of it.
